A large number of customers in the UK do not realise that a wider range of mortgage product choices are available from mortgage brokers.
Mortgage Myths - Value of a Mortgage Broker, a new report published by Legal & General has revealed that 48% of homeowners and buyers who did not use a broker chose a bank or building society as they felt it offered them a better deal. In addition, 19% said they could not see the value that a broker would add to their search for a mortgage.
Brokers Offer More Choices
Another 19% of those who responded said that they thought banks and building societies had the same mortgage products and deals as brokers. In fact, brokers have access to as many as 8 times more options than banks.
